Welcome to The Trust Learning Solutions, your partner in building trust within relationships and institutions.

Introduction

Trust. The glue. The foundation. Fundamental.  Indispensible.  These words are what we hear when we talk about business and personal relationships.  But how certain are you of its presence in your organization and in your relationships.  How much do people trust you?  How much do you trust the organization you work with, your suppliers and customers, your fellow employees.  How much do you trust your bank, financial advisor, your doctor or your lawyer?  When we think about trust, we assume many things.  We all know what trust is and we believe we know whom we can trust, and who trusts us.

Trust carries many assumptions with it.  We use the word freely but rarely stop to define or clarify what we mean.  In fact, it is multi-dimensional and contextually based.  It is built over time and once broken is difficult to rebuild.

I have been studying, researching and working in this area since 1994.  Long before trust became the hot topic for 2008.  Perhaps because nobody paid much attention to it, one of those 'soft' skills that leaders think doesn't impact the bottom line. The economic fiasco of 2008 has proven how wrong that thinking is and how close to the line many organizations were.

Our services

  1. Consulting on how to strategically build trust into your human capital systems, especially those areas with high touch customer responsibility
  2. Training in how to retain and build trust within and external to your organization.  Learn how the 8 drivers of trust can make the difference between excellence and mediocrity.  Trust can ensure that you build successful relationships, not just successful transactions
  3. Coaching in how to effectively build trust through the use of the Encyclopedia of Trust Words and Phrases.  Use the drivers and the Encyclopedia to deliver messages that are clear, unambiguous, and authentic
  4. Speaking.  Listen as Deborah shares her experiences over 15 years of thinking, researching and speaking to people about trust and what it means to them.   Understand why trust is the foundation of all business and personal relationships.  Why authenticity is critical and why operating under a facade of trust ultimately takes you and your organization down.

Conclusion

Trust is a no-lose proposition.  All organizational initiatives rely on trust at their core.  All culture change revolves around building trust first.  IT change, process change, negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, human capital management, sales..... All of these require trust for success.  Trust cannot be wrapped up in a culture change. Trust has to be assessed and solidified before any other change can take root.  Trust is deep, it is profound, and it is usually misunderstood.  Trust Learning Solutions can help with our many years of research, thought and practice in this most important value.
